Sherwani Dental Associates’ founder and Principal Dentist Dr. Shariq Ali Khan Sherwani have been pursuing his passion of providing best dental and oral health for more than a decade now. He has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience while working in government hospitals, NGO’s, Private clinics and volunteer campaigns.
Dr. Shariq has also worked with
major dental clinics in Lahore, Pakistan and Adelaide, Australia. For his
gentle, sensitive and caring style, he is known for being the friendliest Dentist
in the team of Sherwani Dental Associates, and it is almost impossible for any
patient to go to another dentist after consulting Dr. Shariq.
He specializes in cosmetic
& aesthetic dentistry including smile adjustments, teeth whitening,
zirconium full mouth crowns, zirconium veneers, Lumineers, crown lengthening,
gingivectomies, clear orthodontics with aligners & dental jewelry. He is
also an authority in minor and major Oral Surgeries including wisdom tooth
extraction, full mouth Implant Rehabilitation, Cysts & Tumors of the oral
cavity/ jaw and Facial Cosmetic Surgeries. In keeping up with his commitment to
continuing education, he regularly attends the annual conferences, workshops
& certificate courses learning about the latest technologies and methodologies
across all aspects of smile design and aesthetic dentistry.
Currently, Dr. Shariq is
pursuing his Ph.D. Public Health from Torrens University, Australia since 2018.
The area of his research is Oral Health Literacy which is why he is passionate
about creating Oral Health Awareness and Dental education common to the masses.
He started his health education at Higher Secondary School & College level
and has achieved many medals. Passing out from the historical Government
College, University Lahore he got admission in de’ Montmorency College of
Dentistry, Lahore which is considered as the ‘Mother Institute of Dentistry in
Pakistan’, and has produced dentists that are the gems of the profession
recognized nationally and on the global scale. He graduated from de’
Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore & completed his Masters in
Philosophy, an M.Phil. In Public Health from the University Of Punjab, Lahore
in 2016.
During his tenure at dental
school, Dr. Shariq not only participated in International Conferences, winning
prizes, presenting at various forums; but also pursued B.A. (Bachelor of Arts)
and M.A. (Masters of Arts) Political Science out of his personal interest. He
attended certification courses in Implantology, Orthodontics, Rotary Endodontics
and Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Shariq is a multi-talented
individual. From being an excellent clinician, philanthropist, teacher, social
worker and a public speaker; he is doing remarkable things in the world around
him. He is the innovator and leader of a ‘Dental for Schools Program’ in
collaboration with Government of Punjab, School Education Department. He
actively arranges and participates in community gatherings where he delivers
lectures on Oral Health Awareness and treatment options for various dental
problems. He also runs a ‘Corporate Training Program’ for businesses and
professionals to increase their capacity and education about general health and
Oral Health specially.
Outside of the professional
activities, Dr. Shariq is an adventurer and explorer. In Pakistan he has
travelled across Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and
Sindh on Motorbike. He has also toured across the states of Australia on road;
NT (Nothern Territory), SA (South Australia) and Victoria including The Great Grampians
and Coober Pedy. With many countries already checked on his profile, he wishes
to explore the breadth and bottom of the world in his future endeavors of
Travel.
